The Watkins Printing Company is a 97-year-old, family-owned business producing monthly and quarterly magazines for Universities, Fraternal Organizations and Niche Publications for clients in more than 25 states. We have both web press and sheet-fed capabilities, and offer complimentary storage and proofreading services upon request.


Communication directly with The Watkins Printing Company ownership and key departmental staff is customary in our organization.  We make ourselves available in any capacity needed, often traveling cross-country to address your particular needs.


A more flexible organization, we focus our resources on the needs of our clients.  From prepress to billing we make every effort to conduct business, as you would prefer.


The majority of our employees, prepress, pressroom, binding and complete mailing facilities are based at our 65,000-square-ft. headquarters in Columbus, Ohio, central to the U.S. population. We have regional Sales Offices in Nashville, Tennesse and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Tamara W. Green, CEO

Tamara Green


Tamara has been a leader in client relations and growth opportunities, focusing on sales, marketing and strategic planning for over twenty-five years.  She received a BA degree in English with a Minor in Communications from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. As President of the company, she has recently been spearheading the Print MIS (Management Information System), implementation for Avanti Slingshot. Avanti incorporates estimating, production planning, planned purchases, publication orders, inventory management, scheduling, warehousing, shipping and billing into one easy-to-use system. Tamara has served as a director on the Rollins College Alumni Association, and president and secretary for the Chi O Creations Board.  

William Green

President & COO

For over twenty years, Bill has worked in sales & association management, focusing on alumni and volunteer engagement, magazine editorship as well as membership growth. As the Vice President of Marketing for The Watkins Printing Company the past sixteen years, Mr. Green is responsible for identifying and building new relationships, servicing key accounts, general marketing campaigns, social media, and vendor communication. Bill received a BA degree in Political Science with a Minor in Organizational Communication from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. Bill is serving a three-year-term as a Trustee on The Chi Psi Educational Trust and is excited to grow his new venture with Watkins’ called Legendary Publishing & Media Group.

Emily Lust

VP of Finance

In 2011, Emily entered the family business representing the first member of the 4th generation. Starting in Publication Sales, she serviced key accounts throughout South Carolina, Ohio and a multi-state region.  In her current role as Customer Service Manager, Emily assists clients with production details insuring expectations are met and exceeded. Ms. Lust also enjoys representing Watkins at many of our niche’ conferences throughout the county. Emily received a BA degree in Communications with a Minor in Sociology from Coastal Carolina University in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Brock Clary

VP of Operations

Alumnus of Rollins College (Florida) - B.A. in Anthropology. Professional experience includes an internship through American University working in Washington D.C. for A Wider Circle (501c3) in community outreach. Brock is the second member of the 4th generation to join the Watkins team. He is a hard-working, young professional ready to meet any challenge that is presented. Quality control and expediting advanced copies of magazines are two of Brock’s key responsibilities for the Watkins Sales Team and our publication partners.

Kurt Green

Regional Sales Associate. Territory: Ohio, North Carolina and a multi-state region.

Growing up around the family business, Kurt officially joined the sales team in 2019. Mr. Green brings extensive experience in sales, operations and business ownership. A proven entrepreneur in a manufacturing environment, Kurt enjoys forming sincere business relationships built on mutual respect and trust. Kurt received a BA degree in Communications from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.


LJ Menduni

Director of Mailing Requirements

A left brained thinker, LJ finds comfort in patterns and order. With 15 years of experience in the mail industry, LJ is well versed with the ever-changing rules of the USPS. He enjoys working with databases to ensure postal standards are met so that he can find the lowest possible postage rate.


Jim Landis

Prepress Manager

For twenty two years Jim has provided exceptional client service in the Prepress Department of The Watkins Printing. Mr. Landis is responsible in assisting clients with file transfer, troubleshooting. file manipulation, hard proof and online web approval. Jim also prepares plates for press and coordinates Watkins Digital Magazines. Jim has a strong knowledge of InDesign and a multitude of prepress issues. Jim looks forward to helping you produce the best possible magazine for you and your constituents.

Gary Byerly

Mailing and Logistics

With Watkins since 2010, Gary has extensive experience in postal paperwork and regulations, shipping/receiving, pick/pack operation and inventory control of supplied items. A former Purchasing Manager and Supply Department Manager, Gary offers a versatile set of skills that he uses to help Watkins magazines find the fastest and most efficient way into the hands of our clients.
