We are a nearly 100-year-old, family-owned business focused on Publication Printing and Direct Mail Cards. We produce monthly and quarterly magazines for Universities, Fraternal Organizations and Niche Publications for clients in more than 20 states. We have both web press and sheet-fed capabilities, and offer complimentary storage and proofreading services upon request.
Communication directly with Watkins Printing ownership and key departmental staff is customary in our organization. We make ourselves available in any capacity needed, often traveling cross-country to address your particular needs.
A more flexible organization, we focus our resources on the needs of our clients. From prepress to billing we make every effort to conduct business, as you would prefer.
The majority of our employees, prepress, pressroom, binding and complete mailing facilities are based at our 65,000-square-ft. headquarters in Columbus, Ohio, central to the U.S. population.

Tamara Watkins Green
CEO
Tamara has been a leader in client relations and growth opportunities, focusing on sales, marketing and strategic planning for over thirty years. She received a BA degree in English with a Minor in Communications from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. As CEO of the company, she has recently been exploring major technology and automation improvements while spearheading the Print MIS (Management Information System), implementation. It incorporates estimating, production planning, planned purchases, publication orders, inventory management, scheduling, warehousing, shipping and billing into one easy-to-use system. Tamara served a six-year term as a director on the Rollins College Alumni Association Board, and then a multi-year term as president and secretary for the Chi O Creations Board.

William J. (Bill) Green
President
For over twenty five years, Bill has worked in sales & association management, focusing on alumni and volunteer engagement, magazine editorship as well as membership growth. As President of The Watkins Printing Company, Mr. Green (now with Watkins' for 18 years) is responsible for identifying and building new relationships, servicing key accounts, general marketing campaigns, and vendor communication. Bill received a BA degree in Political Science with a Minor in Organizational Communication from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. Bill is serving a three-year-term as a Trustee on The Chi Psi Educational Trust and is excited to grow his his joint venture with Watkins’ called Legendary Publishing & Media Group.

Jon Lust, 4th Generation
VP Sales
For over fifteen years, Jon has worked in sales and relationship management. As VP of Sales for The Watkins Printing Company, Mr. Lust is responsible for identifying and building new partnerships and relationships. Prior to joining Watkins, Jon spent five years as a successful account executive and recruiter for Robert Half Technology. He also spent nearly ten years as a Head Golf Professional and 1st Assistant for Indian Wells Golf Club and Wacchesaw Plantation Clubs respectively. Jon received a BA degree in Business Management from Coastal Carolina University in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He is the proud father of triplets, Watkins’ 5th generation workforce.

Emily Lust, 4th Generation

In 2011, Emily entered the family business representing the first member of the 4th generation. Starting in Publication Sales, she serviced key accounts throughout South Carolina, Ohio and a multi-state region. In her current role as VP Finance, Emily assists with all of the corresponding accounting duties and functions. Ms. Lust enjoys representing Watkins at many of our niche’ publishing conferences throughout the county. Emily received a BA degree in Communications with a Minor in Sociology from Coastal Carolina University in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She is the proud mother of triplets, Watkins' 5th generation workforce.

Brock Clary, 4th Generation
VP Operations

4th generation, and now with the company for over seven years, Brock received a BA from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. In his role as VP Operations, Brock handles all logistics for the company. A young professional ready to meet any challenge that is presented, quality control and expediting advanced copies of magazines are some of Brock’s key responsibilities for the Watkins Sales Team and our publication partners. Professional experience includes an internship through American University working in Washington D.C. for A Wider Circle (501c3) in community outreach.

Kurt Green, 4th Generation
VP Digital Marketing
Growing up around the family business, Kurt officially joined the sales team in 2019. Mr. Green brings extensive experience in sales, operations and business ownership. A proven entrepreneur in a manufacturing environment, Kurt enjoys forming sincere business relationships built on mutual respect and trust. Kurt received a BA degree in Communications from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Director of Mailing Requirements
A left brained thinker, LJ finds comfort in patterns and order. With 15 years of experience in the mail industry, LJ is well versed with the ever-changing rules of the USPS. He enjoys working with databases to ensure postal standards are met so that he can find the lowest possible postage rate.

Jim Landis

For twenty two years Jim has provided exceptional client service in the Prepress Department of The Watkins Printing. Mr. Landis is responsible in assisting clients with file transfer, troubleshooting, file manipulation, hard proof and online web approval. Jim also prepares plates for press and coordinates Watkins Digital Magazines. Jim has a strong knowledge of InDesign and a multitude of prepress issues. Jim looks forward to helping you produce the best possible magazine for you and your constituents.

Assane Laye
Mailing/Logistics/Deliveries
With Watkins for over ten years, Assane has experience in postal paperwork and regulations, shipping/receiving, pick/pack operation and inventory control of supplied items. Originally from Senegal with an associates degree in accounting from Senegal University, Assane offers a versatile set of skills that he uses to help Watkins magazines and other projects find the fastest and most efficient way into the hands of our clients.
