“I’ve worked with Watkins Printing for four years on a variety of publications – both print and digital – and am always so pleased with the final product. What makes Watkins more exceptional than other printing companies is their customer service. Not only are the team members at Watkins responsive and efficient, they have also helped me realize ways I can be printing most efficiently, thus saving my company time and money.”

“I have know and worked with Bill for seventeen years. During that time Bill has impressed me with his dedication to cultivating personal and business relationships. He and The Watkins Printing Company provide excellent service to clients through the family atmosphere at Watkins which enables employees to reach maximum potential. Bill puts the client first and does what is required to produce quality work on schedule. I recommend Bill to anyone with printing needs."

“I have worked with Bill and the team at Watkins Printing for many years as they annually print the The Memorial Tournament Magazine that I design and produce for HNS Sports Group. A project of this magnitude has many moving parts and things get very hectic. Knowing that the job is printed at Watkins each year distresses me, as I know the project is being watched over by a group of professionals who have the knowledge and expertise to produce a 260 page perfect bound magazine. The PDF files of the magazine flow through Watkins prepress seamlessly and the end result is even better. I couldn’t imagine a better print partner than Bill and the team at The Watkins Printing Company.”

Press Release

THE WATKINS PRINTING COMPANY CHANGES FAMILY OWNERSHIP STRUCTURE - CELEBRATING 97 YEARS IN 2020

APRIL 2019, COLUMBUS, OHIO

The Watkins Printing Company has completed a change in its family ownership structure. Tamara Watkins Green and her family will now own 100 percent of The Watkins Printing Company, founded in 1923.

With the change in ownership, Eric Watkins is no longer an employee and member of the board of directors. William Green will now serve as President and COO and Tamara as CEO. Tammy and Bill have also promoted their son and daughter, Brock Clary and Emily Lust, to new positions. Brock will now serve as VP of Operations and Emily as VP of Finance.

"There are many factors that come to bear in keeping a business alive and thriving for 97 years,” says CEO Tamara Green. “First and foremost this is a family business, and I’m proud to continue that legacy. And for me, full ownership is a privilege I take on with enthusiasm and responsibility. I have always welcomed the opportunity to make the decisions that shape the future, watch the outcomes of those decisions, and adjust as needed. It’s an exciting moment in our company’s history, as we approach our second century in business."

“This opportunity is not one we will take for granted. The ownership change retains the company’s privately held, family-owned structure,” said COO William Green. “Now deep in our fourth generation and about three years from our 100th Anniversary, we look forward to continuing our legacy by pursuing new modern market opportunities and expanding our service offerings.”

The Watkins Printing Company is a publication, magazine and legacy project printer. From its founding in 1923 until 1989, the company was located in downtown Columbus on 240 North 4th Street. From 1989 onward, it has been at its current 65,000 square-feet headquarters on 1401 East 17th Avenue, the same exit as the Ohio Expo Center & State Fair. Watkins’ offers complete prepress, pressroom, bindery and mailing solutions. watkinsprinting.com
